Cavities of the body,and their content.

The body is not a solid structure, something bony parts form spaces called cavities in which important internal orgens are protected .the two major body cavities are called the venteral and dorsal body cavities.

      
                    




_The venteral body cavities includes,:

                                            1 . thoracic cavity

                                             2. Abdominal cavity
                                             3.pelvic cavity
                              


    _the dorsal body cavity includes:
                                            1.cranial cavity
                                             2.spinal cavity


The thoracic cavity or chest contains:
           
                  The lungs
                  The air-passages-trachea and bronchial tubes
                  The oesophagus
                  The heart
                 Great blood vessels,and thoracic duct (the largest lymphatic vessels).

       


The abdominal cavity is separated from thoracic cavity by diaphragm.it contains: 

                   Stomach
                   Small intestine
                   Large intestine
                   Liver
                   Spleen
                  Kidneys
                  Ureters
                  Pancreas
 
The pelvic cavity contains:

                 The reproductive organs
                  The bladder
                  The rectum

The spinal cord
